Wow! This WD thing has really been overwhelming. I have never attended a WD session. But I DID go to DO in Nashville, and I can tell you it was wonderful.
My close friend had arranged to go with 3 other ladies, and at the last minute, one of them had to back out. So, I was offered the chance to go in her place.
I accepted because I felt a trip would be a good thing. I have been under a lot of stress of late, and the 'getaway' was welcome! I knew they were attending the workshop, and I had some knowledge of the WD program because of the things my friend has shared with me during her sessions. I thought I knew what I was headed for, but I had absolutely NO IDEA !!!
The testimonies were touching, inspiring. The music was wonderful. The praise and worship was such a blessing. Being around 4000 folks who are all seeking God's Will for their lives is a teasure I shall always remember. I was taken aback at the earnest way everyone spoke. After seeing Gwen, I understood why my friend was so excited about the opportunity to be there and see the lady who began this WD.
The wierd thing is, that during the last session, I really felt impressed that I was to lead one of these workshops. I said 'C'mon, Lord...I have zero experience in this, I can't possibly lead a group!"
...Well, that was that...or so I thought.
I have not been able to get this out of my mind. That the Lord wants me to lead a workshop. I have been praying about it, and I am going to check out what is available in my area of town. My husband and I just started attending a new church, so I am going to inquire there. Perhaps God wants to use me in this capacity, but I really feel I need to know what I am talking about first....
Meanwhile, I remain in prayer about it and ask Him for wisdom and the courage to do His will. I plan to get into a WD session ASAP, and get started on my long road through the desert. I had to share that the conference was a total blessing. I came away with a changed heart. I am already saving my pennies so I can go again next year.
Thanks for allowing me to 'horn in ' in your WD area....
In His Love, Marta Lynn
